A Little Samson Hardware History…
Samson Hardware has been helping the interior of Fairbanks Alaska find the right materials for the job since 1904. We’ve long been a fixture of the Interior and love serving the community that has held us strong for over 100 years.
The store was started by 3 individuals Brumbaugh, Hamilton and Kellogg as a machine shop and a mining store. It quickly grew to be a staple of our community that locals depended on. We even remained open during the Flood of 1967, selling pumps to customers as water flowed through our front door!
Longtime Fairbanksans will remember our iconic store along the Chena River that gave way to the second bridge across the river. We will always miss that location and still think of it as our first home.
In 2009 we reopened in our current location on Phillip’s Field Road and haven’t missed a beat when it comes to customer service, knowledgeable staff and aisles stocked with the items you need for most Alaskan projects.
Store Manager Mike Pederson has held true to the tenants that have guided the store through the years. Our mission is to provide Fairbanks with more local know-how than anyone else in town while taking care of the community that has allowed us to grow.
